I would just like to point out that after generations of making video game contollers with more functions and easier control, it's nice to see the Wiii go old-school with a controler that seems to have no functionality whatsoever, but is cool because it "looks like an MP3 player".

the wii controller is motion-sensitive, and thus for people that tend to move the controller as they play, it is easier to use. those people that tend to move the controller tend to be non-gamers, and thus, it is perhaps the most functional controller ever made.
