What about going through old photos, grabbing some paper and doing a scrapbook page for people? You can frame it if whomever you are giving it to doesn't have scrapbooks.

You pick a theme, pick two or three photos that fit it, add a bit of writing and decoration and *poof*, insta gift.

Go through some old recipe books and see if you can find something different than the normal sugar cookies and snickerdoodles.

Two years ago I made glass candy.
Last year I had orders for it.
This year I think I am going to sell some.

All from a basic recipe that I *never* would have imagined being so popular. Noah spends time making it with me and in a canning jar topped with some nice fabric, it's pretty.

You can make bookmarks with simple beads and string and a little charm on the end.

From one pauper to another, if you are giving to people you love, they will really enjoy the thought and time you put into the gift. :)
*hug*

Will you be coming to Medieval Midwinter? I'd love to see ya!

I love Pele's ideas, mostly because I think we share a few brain cells.

Got a camera? $10 for processing and $10 for copies and prints?

Then upi have homemade Christmas cards waiting to happen, in which you can easily write a personal letter to everyone you would have given a gift to.

I for one adore snail mail more than presents. It is made of awesome.

PS I don't know who 'upi' is but the words was supposed to be you.

Apparently my fingers need a second cup of coffee.

Movie night things are cool- get lots of microwave popcorn, bulk candy (juju's, raisinettes, Nestle crunch, swedish fish...), maybe a dvd and a couple of drinks, break them into different baskets or boxes. The bulk purchasing will save you.

Next year, if you start early enough, you could try home winemaking. A little late to do this in time now...we are going to clean out our house of extra wine bottles and stuff if you want them though...

And here I've been saving bottles for you two..

I was going to make a batch of rum, but I'm having a supply problem for the Vanilla rum.. I cant find bulk beans!

Wine would require me to stay in angola for another year, and I'd really like to move further north.. and closer to work.
