Good morning my fellow hd_slashers. I was wondering, if any of you are going to be arriving by air into Midway airport. If so and you're arriving on the 06th of Aug, I though it might be fun to form a sort of mini meetup and maybe arrange to share a taxi to the host hotel. I didn't know if you realized that the Orange Line will drop you off by the hotel (approx. 4 blocks SW) and it's only $2. Just a suggestion.

Good idea, but I usuzally have so much crap with me when I travel the last thing I want is to have to lug it all on public transportation and then lug it to the hotel. But if others want to do that, I can schlepp along with the best of them.

I was going to suggest the same thing. The cab is likely to cost $40.00 or more. We had family take a cab in from Midway (to the Hyatt) and it was $46.00.

Just to clarify, were you going to suggest we all meet to take a cab? Or were you going to suggest we take the Orange Line?

Sometimes I get easily confused. LOL.

I'm not sure I am going to be up to schlepping the luggage through downtown Chicago August heat. But the cab fare would be a bit offsetting if it's really 40.00 for one person.

When are you arriving by any chance on the 06th sometime in the am hours, or even early afternoon?
