This event is going on as planned.  http://www.1890sday.com/   I will be going up there to volunteer and visit relatives; it is my home town and was hit hard by the tornadoes.

Alright my lovelies listen up. Last year at dragoncon, some of us got together and decided we wanted to do something different. Rather then buy a bunch of nerf guns and paint them to match our outfits, we turned the tables. We still bought the guns but then matched our outfits to the outlandishly bright colors on them. As is the danger of spring picnics, Steampunk in the Park, scheduled for tomorrow in Atlanta, Georgia has been rained out. Forecasts are calling for a 60% chance of rain with scattered thunderstorms and, even if we do get a bit of a respite during the hours of the picnic itself, I'm afraid the ground at Piedmont park will be muddy and not the best ( Read more... )
