Some of my friends posted pictures of the little shadows, though I think all I've seen were ones from the Bay Area, so none of little sun rings.
I saw the total eclipse which went up the Columbia River Valley in 1979 - I was in middle school, and my parents took me to see it. Portland, of course, was overcast and rainy, so my dad drove out (along with about half the population of Portland and all the visitors) on 84 to find a sunny spot. We ended up in Goldendale, and after the eclipse, we discovered that the nearby town of Maryhill has a complete Stonehenge replica.

it was *so cool*
what i thought the neatest thing was the shadows cast by the sun thru the leaves on nearby trees - every one of them were little eclipses.
great picture - it's no wonder such things used to scare the hell out of people, huh?
the next full one in the U.S. is Aug 21, 2017 - it'll perfect viewing within a couple hundred miles of where i now live.
i can't wait - i've never seen a full one!
