SOME COMPLAINTS

1) It's very hot outside but the cat is large and warm and also he really wants to sit in people's laps. Perhaps he is senile. Has he not realized how it is hot outside and that people are also hot and that he is covered in fur?

2) I made the mistake of watching a Top Chef marathon and now I crave well-cooked meat with a side dish of ( Read more... )

a growing list of my own inadiquacies, cats sure are cute, when memes attack!, so hopeful i might tearbend

YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT FANDOM I'M GOING TO ASK YOU FOR. DON'T MAKE ME SAY IT.

ps Cats are evil. This is a known fact, and is why when they talk in my head, they have bad stereotypical Russian terrorist accents. Natasha and Boris or Hans Gruber, somewhere in that camp. I could draw a venn diagram.

BUT I LIKE RUSSIAN TERRORISTS, DAMMIT

okay.

1) a) Locke/Celes forever and ever!! I think L/C might be the most popular pairing in the fandom (fandom is next to nonexistant so it is sort of hard to tell) however I think I ship it way more than is normal or possibly even healthy, so it can go here. Besides, I know some people don't like it. Anyway.
b) COROLLARY: Locke/Celes is not actually a pairing involving healthy people and their ~*true love*~ and eternal sparkly domesticity. The actual pairing shouldn't play out like Locke's delusional dreams of rescuing his dead girlfriend, i.e. hero swings in and rescues poor captured damsel. The reason the paring is awesome is because it inverts all those tropes and because Celes is badass, so fics/art/whatever where she is not badass make me cry manly tears.

2) Kefka = not so great. Try as I might, I can't bring myself to masturbate to him.

3) I don't hate FFVII.

Yes, that is an unpopular FFVI opinion.

1. Trufax. Weepy damsel Celes makes me go WHUT WHUT DID WE PLAY THE SAME GAME? Which, sadly enough, seems to be the majority of fics. If you like stereotypical manly-man-china-doll-housewife pairing*, why would you ship Locke and Celes? I just doesn’t make sense to me. The beauty of the pairing is both are the opposite of what the other probably expects, but exactly what they need. Celes needs someone outside the boundaries of the rigid military lifestyle, and he needs someone who can snap him in half and totally tops in bed. MEREOW. But I actually have this fanon theory anyway where Rachel wasn’t some pretty pretty princess but actually a big tomboy who wore trousers under her skirts and got him into the whole exploration thing to begin with. Also could take care of herself, which where he sees the resemblance. Because really, unless “you remind me of someone DUR DUR” means “you both have vaginas” they really have little in common.

*I can’t remember if it was you or Koko I told about the HI-LARIOUS bad fic where Locke and Celes fell ( ... )

but for some reason every time I like Zuko (which really is most of the time) I get angry at myself for being a a fangirl cliché.
Well it is a bit cliché, but then again Zuko is probably the character with the most depth. I general never like the token bad boy, but he was an exemption.

Zuko is the most interesting character, so... you just like the character the writers put extra effort into, is all :)
