So during Monday's lab meeting, one of the directed studies students was presenting his work on what my colleagues in the lab refer to as the rape study. Wednesday was having a snooze in the sunny spot on Helene's bed this morning......  his fur has a brownish red tinge in the sunlight. I want to keep him! Helene wants to keep Thursday. let's forget about
winter and what's past, and dream
of spring together.

Small comment on crazy weather in Vancouver of late.....

March shows us that, like 
everything else worth having, 
spring won't come easy. 

wind blows in from the
pacific, seaweed and salt 
air tickle my nose.

fat flakes land on our
eyelashes, and run torrents
down warm rosy cheeks.

So I went and got behind on my haiku again! Chalk it up to having even funner-er things to occupy myself with on weekends. Hee.
It snowed on Friday and melted right away, if I recall correctly, therefore....

snow falls down in thick,
fat flakes, then melts away fast
into green spring grass.

North Shore hills dusted
with snow, down here, city streets
scattered with blossoms
