Terra Mater or Tellus Mater was a goddess worshiped from ancient times in the city of Rome. Beware the Ides of April.

Some of my AP English class invaded a lecture about the tale of Troy and the Iliad in popular culture at the local liberal arts college. The mac-wielding professor was awesome--he called Achilles "emo."
