my grandfather is dying of multiple myloma and will probably have his leg amputated at the knee soon. so, my trip to visit E. in L.A. and K. in santa barbara will also involve a trip to tuscon. i'm not sure his illness has hit me yet - i have the thought that i should be more upset because he is my grandfather, but he's not actually someone i like

even when folk like me don't really know what to say

thanks...even i don't really know what to say or think. aside from his being sick, well,...i have this fantasy that my grandparents will write everyone (in the family) out of the will/trust/etc. and give all their money and possessions to someone singing show tunes and selling newspapers on a downtown street corner. unlikely, but.still. i would probably topple over from sheer joy and laughter.
