I played a lot of Morrowind when I was in high school, but Oblivion fell flat for me for some reason. It just feels so vastly boring to me -- so much land with nothing in it. True, Morrowind was also really huge and full of nothing, but I think it had more towns and more diverse landscapes than Oblivion's EXTREME FORESTS THAT COVER EVERYTHING.

But oh, the races finally look pretty decent. I was pretty bummed about how blah everyone looked in Morrowind and ended up getting mods to replace most things, but couldn't with Oblivion so I was stuck with the ickiest of faces. But this-- Skyrim looks really nice. I played a Khajit as my first character in Morrowind, I don't even remember what I'm playing in Oblivion. I should... play it more...

I have a question for you! I looked briefly at Mass Effect novels today and was a little intrigued about Revelation because it apparently details Anderson and Saren? Did you read it?

I never played Morrowind, but have only heard great things about it. Opinions about preference seem to widely differ. I thought Oblivion was pretty nice, even though I could only play on low to medium settings. Of course, when it comes to previous games... Daggerfall's size... I don't even want to think about it. x_x

Bethesda games using the Gamebryo engine were pretty ugly character-wise in general. Although some characters were pretty awesome in their Fallout installments, everyone looked the same. I know it's silly to ooh and aah over graphics, but I can't help it when things look pretty! I might look into Oblivion again should I find the time or build a PC.

I actually haven't read any of them... I own Revelation, but it's sitting in my huge pile of "to read" books. Also I bought it for $2 used heh. I figured since I have a few months before ME3 hits the market, I'd eventually get to it. I did read the TPB that precedes ME2, Redemption, which is pretty good. Though, again, I found it for $5 during my local Borders' liquidation
