More default faces!

These were originally completed last June. I tweaked them again last month. The proportions here are more realistic than the last set but still not that realistic overall, if that makes any sense. I've included PT and ideal plantsim replacements in separate downloads again.

I've briefly looked at DR templates before, but I'm so attached to Maxis looks so I've never really considered using any, but these look really good! I can still recognize Goopy and other 'named' templates, but they're not as "Woah. Face.". :P

I love how you've kept the less 'lovable' templates. My selfsim is based off one of them, so this makes me happy. XD

Thanks! It was my goal to be able to recognize them at first glance when they walk on my lots. I also like being able to look at the Maxis premades and other people's sims and say, "Oh, that one's got 4's nose, a modified 12 brow, and 23's lips." *Is a dork* I don't immediately recognize the templates underlying your selfsim, but I'd guess there's some 19 and/or 25 somewhere in there?

I forgot to mention that while the overall look of the faces is the same, the proportions are different from Maxis'. I have no clue how interbreeding these faces with the original Maxis templates might go. Probably poorly, unfortunately.

I'm hoping to start a BACC to test these further and see what tweaks I want to make. Due to my lazy methods, I always get stuck with some unfortunate sameyness. Last time it was the noses; this time I want to put "fluffier" cheeks on some of them. Sameyness seems to be a pretty common issue for DR faces, though.

Thanks for the comment! I was too lazy/shy to advertise so I'm glad they made them onto any finds threads at all. :)

I have a soft spot for the alien archetype from the other set, too. Several of my favorite sims from my recently-borked legacy neighborhood were graced with its features.

Sorry I'm a bit late with the comment but... wow-ee. I didn't think there could possibly be any templates better than your previous set, and now you've gone and surprised me. :)

Thanks! Comments like yours make me glad I stopped hoarding my files. :) Face templates are kind of annoying to make, so it's kind of foolish not to share them after you've sunk so much time into them.

Oh I didn't know you had a LJ! I've been using your set from MTS for years. I'm going to update to this one now! Thanks for your hard work, I prefer these subtle changes to the original faces :D
