*Diamond had seen the dragon in the sky as he approached. He had seemed so small at first, more like a bird. But, no -- this was no bird. The figure grew larger and larger in the sky until at last it loomed so large that it seemed to blot out all of the stars. Diamond should have been afraid, but instead she felt only awe and an intense joy that the world had such a fierce and magnificent creature in it.
She realized that she was staring, almost gaping at Smaug, and chided herself for her rudeness. The dragon must have come from a great distance, for he looked exhausted. She forgot her own tiredness and banished any lingering fear.
*He inclines his head courteously so that he can converse at eye level*
And so, at last, we meet! Hail, bearer of fire water! That was a fine gift you brought me. I think I could use some now, but I do not suppose you have any more..?
Wonderful! You are so kind. My throat is quite parched from my long flight, and truthfully I could do with the energy boost!
*He accepts the small flask gratefully, tweaking it gently from Diamond's hands with a long and agile tongue. He tips back his head, gulps once, then drops the emptied flask onto the grass and sighs with contentment.*
Aaaaaahhhhhhh! *Licks his lips* That soothes the spot! Truly, your Cleeve is the drink of Dragons. With that to bolster the warriors' courage, your Shire must be able to withstand any invasion!

Well, I do, but...*holds up a hobbit-sized silver flask*...It's a wee bit small.
I'm so glad you liked The Cleeve! It truly is the best whisky in the Shire!
