First sign you're getting old: your birthday feels less like a holiday than it used to. Second: you ask for things like ironing boards, hangers, books, and sandwiches for your birthday. My mom asked me today what I want for my birthday and I had no idea what to say. I ended up asking for a DVD player since it's the only thing I ever really think about buying for myself.

For Christmas, however, I asked for a suitcase and a waffle maker. And the year before I got a crock pot, a hand mixer, and new cookie sheets and muffin tins. I'm getting old, too!

Hee. Well, a happy birthday is all that counts, not what you do on it. I'm glad you had a happy birthday, and I'm happy to buy you hangers and sandwiches anytime. lo.
