Heyyy, so as I think I have mentioned a few times in the last couple of weeks, I have been super into shoujo manga for like, absolutely no reason whatsoever, so! Normally I hate shoujo with a burning passion - I don't really know how to explain it to you, but I just am not particularly interested in feelings and relationships and blah blah blah ( Read more... )

I'm so greedy, I'm already like "I NEED THAT JUMP POST B/C REBORN IS ALL I EVER CARE ABOUT" lies but pretty close to truth.

And you remind me that I started reading Kaze Hikaru when it was running in Shoujo Beat (did you all have that in Canada?) and I really liked it at the time, but forgot all about it once I canceled my subscription.

I love this post. I refuse to read Fusdsa Yuugiigsdfs but I keep looking at Skip Beat wondering if I should finally give in. That and Golden Days. IF YOU HAD TO PICK ONE FOR ME TO START, WHICH WOULD IT BE?

I'm so tempted to read Kimi ni Todoke, but I want to continue watching the anime without knowing what's coming.

They are all pretty ridiculous recs, too, I never like any shounen other people like. EVERYONE SHOULD LISTEN TO MY OPINIONNNNS

Skip Beat and Golden Days are both pretty fantastic, but they are very different series; I'd say that if you're in the mood to be made a little sad (you know, in a good way), Golden Days is probably a better choice, but that if you want to laugh it is Skip Beat all the way! Personally I like Skip Beat comparatively more, but I like to laugh more than I like to cry, and I admit that Skip Beat's more of a time commitment.

READ IT ONCE THE ANIME ENDS!!

My favorite thing about Yoh (KKD) is that he always looks tired. I find his default eyebags compelling.

I've only read Koukou Debut from this though watched the anime for Skip Beat and Kimi ni Todoke and I've been meaning to read that manga for a while so this post just reminded me.

Totally bookmarking this post so I remember to read the rest of these recs~

Both the Skip Beat and Kimi ni Todoke animes are pretty close to the original, but the Skip Beat manga goes on wayyyy past the anime and some of the best stuff happens later in the story! READDDD THEMMMMM

AMAZING POST. SIMPLY. AMAZING.

Your next posts sounds like it isn't going to disappoint either. One day I will go to Japan and meet Amano in the street and ask, "what, seriously?" because okay, really now, I have so much love for the characters of Reborn and she just... keeps killing my mood.

I have essentially given up on Reborn, in part because tbh my favorite plot section was like. Day-to-day mafia hijinks? She has jumped the shark in the most literal way possible.
