So, Travis's company is opening an office in London and Travis wants to apply to go there. I told him he can go straight to hell, that as much as London sounds like a lovely place, Im not moving out of the country. Especially not for an undetermined amount of time, when Im supposed to be going to culinary school, when he cant guarantee what his

However it is a hell of a long way to fly, so much as I'd love to, it's not feasible. So I'll just send massive hugs and the biggest wish of "break a leg" ever!

Second: There are really good cooking schools in Philly. Well, good everything, but good cooking schools as well.
Third: Root for the Bears quietly, or in your own home. People will understand, and likely appreciate since they'll understand, the loyalty. Any sports fan appreciates loyalty.
Fourth: Making friends does suck. But you'll be in an environment (school) and he'll be at work, another environment, to get started. There's tons of gaming, including a LARP in Philly to meet people. And it's one of the top places we'll end up in two years, if you care.
Finally: Screw you and your play, beotch!

As far as all the moving stuff goes- take it with a grain of salt...changing jobs, locations can be very stressful- even just the thought of it can make anyone crazy...so try to relax and go with the flow...ultimately- you need to do what's best for your family- (you and Travis)--if you're going to be miserable in London or Philly- then you shouldn't go--but- when opportunity comes a'knocking...it's a good idea to answer the door. Culinary school can happen in both of these places- people need to eat in England too!:) Hang in there...start talking with Travis seriously about this when you guys have more information--in the meantime-it should be more fun to daydream about a new place than stressful...you'll always have your friends here in IL...and you would make more wherever you go-no worries.

Moving is just a very frightening thought to me. With my bipolar, Im always wary of doing anything rash or sudden that might upset the careful balance i've wrought in my life. We'll see what happens when Travis goes out to Philly in a week or two.

However, I just cant imagine living there. I love Illinois...which sounds super lame, but i cant help it. I've always wanted to stay in the midwest!

2. There are many places you can go for what you want to do. Don't fixate on one just b/c you've applied there. The school year is nowhere close to starting.
3. In the time I've known you you've moved twice and made a boatload of friends both places (including me). Don't hide behind imagined fears. Besides, you plan to move to Chicago soon, and you don't know very many people in the city proper there either, but you plan to deal.
4. The roads where you are from are ridiculous, too. In my current town I can tell you the cardinal directions, but back home everything curves. You know this.
5. Just watch games with Travis. You have a big TV.
If you don't want to go, don't go, but don't make up reasons. Just leave it at a "I'd rather not".

Maybe it would be better if you and I got matching jackets and skipping around while snapping. That's what gangs do, right?
