wait they give you like a participants' ring for leaving high school early and playing grown-up in a locked down dorm in texas?

so it says like "class of 95" and then in really small letters "yeah that's a lie". heh.

It's sortof a farse to call it highschool, but I am still honored to have participated in the program. I really had some good times, and met some cool people @ TAMS. In many ways it has similar value to me as Amigos.

OTOH, I wouldn't even _CONSIDER_ getting a ring from college. I got my diploma framed -- but that's more of a representation that "i made it" through a school that I hated.

Anyway, when my mom sends it to me i'll show it to you.

hey i'm just joshing (like meghan on wake-up wakefield..."joe-shing"). it actually sounds really awesome to escape all early like that.

and i don't think many high schools even sell class rings anymore. it's a shame. now i won't have a prized possession that i can lose in the garden.

I just started a new community, tams_alumni, and thought I might spread the word a little bit.

Sorry for the spamming.

My ring, by the way, is more square than round--it got crushed (while on my finger, though I somehow didn't notice it when it happened) and subsequently reshaped with a pair of pliers.

good idea about the community though.
