Mean girls etc.

I was in felony court Thursday when P. came up to me, just before the judge came in, and told me I had blocked her cell number. (Of course I had. Gee) I said, "I don't even have my phone, my purse was stolen." Just then the Judge came in and we all rose, as one does. I later heard from another lawyer that P. said she was going to check and see if ( Read more... )

Good gravy, I know exactly what you're talking about. I've had to basically cut a couple of folks out of my life for similar reasons. Never pleasant.

Yeah, and she thinks she can bully her way back into my good graces. Basically, it's taken me years to realize that she has a personality disorder, and I've tried to get her help, but she won't stick with it. The problem I have, is that it's a small city and a small bar association. The problem she has is that she hasn't been my BFF for years. Hee.

The problem with people like P is that you still have to deal with them on a semi-professional basis. I am an ugly person and I would have to flat out tell her there was no way I wanted to hear from her ever again. YOU are her friend, SHE is not yours. And a one-sided "friendship" isn't a friendship at all. Besides, perhaps this will help her "grow up." (Nyah, people like that IMO never change.) I am rooting for you.

You are correct on all counts. Besides, she never thinks she's wrong.

One of THOSE people. Gotcha. I have known more than my fair share and there is no hope for any of them. One of them is on my bowling team. She has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and thinks this means that she needs to advise everyone one on their entire lives and expects you to hop to and do what she tells you to do. Of course, her life is no wonder of harmony either! So we let her rant on and ignore her for the most part. Hope you can manage the same.

Makes me want to wear a big honkin' crucifix around my neck now, just because. Hee. Oh well! Just think what she'd do if she knew how much gay vampire pr0n I've written.

And, uh, why would you unblock it now that she's told you she doesn't even have it as her purse was stolen?

That's just not logic as we know it, Jim!

No, I deflected by saying my purse was missing. (It's back now) Oh well, I have other things on my mind! I could unblock but she has a habit of sending group texts to everyone--she doesn't understand the difference between texting and Twitter.
