Today I startled a judge by, saying to an officer, "Well, back in the day I understood that a roach was a small butt end of a marijuana cigarette, and we called the cigarette itself a doobie, but do I take it when you refer to the roach you found under the seat, you mean a cigarette

I didn't want to tell this young officer that a roach was shorter & had to be smoked with a roach clip...or so I've heard...

I had to stop the Defendant cold because he started to reference a count I already had thrown out. I swear I've never met a defendant who doesn't think they know more than I do. Heh.
