I hope so! There is no room for moderates down here, it's horrible. There is a core cluster of blue dots & we cling together. My neighbors on both sides are black and I share office space with a black woman, so it's not entirely bad...and all the nuns I know are Democrats, LOL!
I realize how easy I have it here in Blueland. I salute those of you holding up the banner up in the Red States. It isn't easy. A gay poet friend is doing residency in Texas right now and has posted some scary experiences. Same from another poet down in Arkansas.
One of the things that makes me sad is knowing that when they talk about how "cohort replacement" will force a change, they are talking about my generation dying off. Still, it means things will be better for my godchildren and their kids.
In less than three weeks Obama is going to win the election and OMG the space I'll have in my brain from not having to hear ignorant political blathering will be WONDERFUL.
I love hearing your problems, because you are one of the most genuinely giving people I've ever met. There's nothing self-indulgent about the things you angst over and it's refreshing, bb. *strokes your forehead*
Also, no matter what the haters word-vomit, Obama will ALWAYS be MY president.
