I am typing with one finger as I had to shift the old workhorse laptop to the office---if I need something in a hurry, the combo of windows 8 and 2013 Office slows me down! I had to get a new one (during tax-free weekend in August) because the old laptop was too slow for paperless filing ( Read more... )

Firm believer that those who loved us in life, still love us and look after us as much as they can (see inexplicable occurrences that make life a little easier) after they are "gone."

I think so, too. I'm just about to take the (water-damaged) console table from her old office for my living room, and I have her credenza in my office. It seems weird to still read books and intend to pass them to her!

I just posted about you the other day on Haven. I was asking if anyone knew if you were still active/around, because you wrote some of my favorite XF fic ever, and I've been going through a nostalgia phase. I know it's been a few years, but would you ever consider revisiting this fandom (in all your spare time, I'm sure)? You just have such a fabulous knack for these two characters, and I would kill to read something new from you. I'll email you as well, but I wanted to leave a public comment first.

Thank you! You are too kind. I don't even have a link for Haven...but I don't write any fanfic at all, much less XF! To be in a genre, I have to regularly be immersed in the rhythms of the show, and I don't watch it now. What's even worse, is that I was so pleased with the XF/Angel crossover I did, I don't even know what to say...if I wrote again, I hope I could give a better Scully. Gillian Anderson is a goddess.

However, I too, get nostalgic and re-read. I don't think I have the stamina to write, any more. When I wrote, I was going through personal upheavals---and lived a personal life online. Now, I have a personal life in reality, and spend very little time online.

Again, thank you for thinking of me, but, I have to regretfully decline.
