All appliances convey. The people had bought their retirement home when a previous buyer dropped out; I got it for $24,000 below original

Congratulations! It's a heady feeling when you first buy a house. It's really nice knowing that if you want to put up pictures on walls, put up shelves, knock down things etc... you don't have to ask the landlord's permission. :-)

And the best part? No matter whether it's more or less in repayments than rent, the money's going into paying off something YOU own, not paying off someone else's property!

Well, mostly anyway... the bank still takes a lot of it at first.
