And yes, I have to do quite a bit of reading before I vote in many of the categories. I won't vote without at least knowing 3 of the fics in the category - then I'd rather leave it. I'm glad the deadline is quite long :)

'Bakchich' is an Arabian(I think) word for 'any amount of money given under the cover to the right persons to get whatever you want'!
If you had given bakchich to the customs officers,they'd let you your QAF DVDs!;)
Or a little amount of money tourists give to children,old folks in 'Third World' countries.

What a relief to know for sure Michael is a bloke who behave himself with dignity!:D

Congratulations, Tess!

The Way We Are is one of the best stories I have ever read, published or otherwise. I've read it twice and I cried both times, even knowing what would happen. I loved Michael so much he ruined me for Viggorli which is a HUGE compliment, so don't feel badly about it! I just can't imagine Orlando with anyone else after this gripping tale.

I have voted for you in every category, and I've never voted in the Slashy Oscars before. I hope that one day you will consider giving Orlando's character an original name and try to get this published. I believe it is that good.

Best of luck with your WONDERFUL story and I hope you will continue writing for many years to come. *hugs*
