Never too lengthy, never boring, utterly perfect. I think I forget to breathe from the seocnd I click on the link to the second each update ends... Quick break for oxygen before I click on next update - which is unfair of me, as I ought to stop and point out just how fabulous this bit is, but it's all so obviously excellent, I won't demean it with detail *hurries off to next part*

p.s. If you would like a beta, or just a few tiny clear-ups, I would be delighted to offer - although I quite understand that some people just don't like to use a beta.

Okay, took a deep breath, ahh.
That sounds great. A good way to do it.
I'm like four hours ahead of you. That is cool that you are so quick, i worried it would seriously delay posting, but clearly not. A day or two is no problem at all.
I'm glad the spelling errors are adorable - but would still like to get rid of them haha. Your help would be much appreciated. Can I send you the last 3 chapters just so we start off now (even though they are already posted)?
Word is what I use. I'm also a complete techno-moron so that should work out great. My email is tessaooo@yahoo.com. Could you send me your email address please?
Thanks,
Tessa

Hi there Levity, Thanks a lot for commenting. I'm glad you like the story. yes, by now there is quite a bit to read when you start from ch 1...
I doubt it will go on forever, but there is definitely still a bit to come. I have not really written anything else (exept for a 1 chapter story posted on my LJ). The Way We Are is my first go at writing ever, so very happy when people are enjoying it.

You write the best sex scenes! Always so much more to them than just the sex. And I love the pace you set. And I really needed the bit of a laugh that the pulling on the duvet- “Sorry, is it annoying?” and the “Small lesson in gay behaviour,” at the beginning and ending of this chapter provided :)

But...the blue toothbrush...

Too lengthy or boring? Are you kidding me? You have my rapt attention! I want it to go on forever. OMG this chapter is so sweet! *loves* Orlando is just the right amount of certain and uncertain before he decided to go further with Michael. Joking to ease the tension... this entire chapter is perfection to me. It's tender and sweet and knowing that Orlando is causing Michael to act differently is just so...guh. (Words, Michelle, use your words!)

I must say, I think you do a really great job of making them always seem like men, no matter what. It's so easy to let them become a bit feminine at times, and fanfic writers do that constantly. Not that I'm complaining, but I like my gay men manly *giggle* and that seems to be a constant so far--great job.

Must go to work now. Damn! Right before penetration! *dies*

LOVED this chapter! ♥

I'm always overly joyed with such a comment because I also prefer my gay men to be manly *lol*. And I do attempt to keep them both male - I hope I succeed throughout although I sometimes worry about loosing Orlando's 'edge' - I really don't see him as being 'feminine' but rather his character does have a tendency to be a bit confused, naive and even a slightly childish man! (I gather it comes from him being used to attention - not that I mention that in the story. Hmm I'm not really sure what I'm trying to say.)

The penetration section will be here waiting for you after work :P

I think people often tend to associate tenderness and sensitivity as feminine traits, but I disagree. I think Orlando is realistically uncertain of what is happening to him, but he's also open to it. He's vulnerable and sweet but he still seems like a guy to me.

I sort of can't believe how much I love this story. I don't often spend a lot of time gushing to authors over their work ;) But this one just really got under my skin. It's also been a nice break from my own story. I really struggled with the last chapter and just posted it yesterday! I could really sort of use the distraction lol And, like you, I decided to take on this big, epic story my first time around. No drabbles for me--let's just dive right into a complex novel length story. What was I thinking? :P There are days I feel completely in over my head.

I might not be able to wait for the next chapter... I'm online at work and it's slow so far today. Plus I'm laid off by the end of the week, so I'm not really overly inspired to work ;)

Sorry to hear you are loosing your job; I can imagine that is not very motivating towards working hard (so I'm glad I can entertain you :P)

I know what you mean; I also sometimes feel a bit out of my depth. In a way it was easier when I had no readers *lol* because now I'm always so worried about disappointing people when I post. But of course I'm glad it's being read. I know most people start off with short fics, one-shots etc. but if that is not the story you have in your mind there isn't much you can do except start the journey and hope for the best. I had the main outline of TWWA so clearly in my mind and I could have started with no other story - and there is no way I could fit it into a drabble! Good luck to the both of us :D
