Hey, quick question... (guess there sort of was an author's note after all). Does anyone know why my LJ changes font. It generally always has TNR before cut and then changes under the cut. I don't mind as I actually prefer the font it changes to but it doesn't always? In some chapters it stays TNR. Even worse, when i have tried editing past posts sometimes it ended up with 2 different fonts within the same cut? I would like to keep it a bit more tidy but have no idea why it happens (I have never messed with my LJ settings - I'm afraid to even go near them!).

Thanks for letting me know you're still around m annariel.
Not sure why you find Michael inconsiderate - I thought he was quite considerate and attentive both to Orlando's needs in the bathroom and his good behaviour at the party :) I was actually rather proud of him, lol!

This chapter just made me so sad because it reminded me again that the world forces people to make decisions like this every day, and they shouldn't have to. Why the hell should anyone care about someone else's sexual orientation? Why should it be an issue that costs people their jobs, their children, their friendships, their lives? It's so unfair, and it's an issue I discuss from time to time in my journal in some of my friends-locked posts. I tend to get very vocal about it because it bothers me so much and it affects people I care about, and I know that addressing these issues is like beating my head against a wall (I know it's going to hurt, why do I do it anyway?), but this chapter just brought it all up again and filled me with sadness. :(

Oh Wow, you sound almost like me when I get going on such topics. I completely agree; it upsets me terribly when the world is unfair and narrow minded ( ... )

I understand people trying to live according to their religious values but if their religion says to hate others for loving someone then what the hell kind of religion is that??

Okay, I'm going to stop now before I go ranting forever.

Added. ;)

"It was the best option for him, the one with the least compromises and the one that would cost him the least. It was also the option that wouldn’t necessarily force him to make any in-depth analysis, decisions or conclusions about himself, but he didn’t want to admit that was a factor."

It made me sad that Orlando's not being truthful with himself and that he's having to consider compromises and cost before the relationship.
