I love the fact that your relationship with technology is just as bad as mine!! But don't tell me you're bored - you meanyou've finished Lost Creatures???
Yes, I finished Lost Creatures tonight and had just left a comment on it when I then found this stupid survey which i wasted the rest of my night on. Booohh.
But, the story was great. Now I'm waiting for an update. You were right, I love Karl the vampire!
I am developing quiet a Karl thing, which is odd, as he didn't used to be such a fave of mine. He has suffered a lot from being unimaginativelt written as statutory baddie/third rapist/evil thug etc; butI am delighted to see a recent spate of brilliantly written Karls. This one is a gem; Karl and the whole fic IMHO. Glad you liked it too :)
As to the technology, what can I say? I miss the scratchof quill on parchment...
Hi miss Techy, I tried that - and it would do it on the entry itself but not under cut (and I didn't want to fill my flist with it (or my journal for that matter). I then managed to copy it into a word document but when I tried posting it on LJ it said the post was now too big. Stupid thing. I will delete this entry today - too much time spent on nothing! = but thanks for your suggestion, much appreciated.
Ahh yes, if you're in plain text, you need to write lj cuts etc manually. So you would need to write <*lj-cut text="read my really long meme by clicking here"> (paste the stuff here) <*/lj-cut> (without the stars)
You are too brilliant. sure this IT business isn't something you should do professionally? I was just about to delete it when I saw your reply - and it worked. Thanks so much.
(The survey took me like an hour to do = it took me 24 hours to post LOL. I think I can safely say it is the first and only one I'll ever do!)
LOL. Yeah I guess I sort of do realize that - Michael wasn't invented out of blue air! If I could put all the x's together into one, they would become him. Orlando has the same taste as I have it seems! And yes, it is the longest meme ever. That is why it was upsetting to loose it.
Yep, long meme. I figured if I should do one, I should do a proper one. This will be the first and last one I undertake but I think it's sort of nice to have one on my LJ so people can see who I am.
Hi Tessa *waves* I thought I'd drop by your LJ since you were kind enough to leave that lovely comment on SWO - I will reply to your feedback, I just haven't got around to doing the latest chapter yet! Once I saw that you were THAT Tessa, whose fic has been rec'd to me several times, I had to come by here and leave you a message!
I'm going to be totally honest and say I haven't read your story yet, I'm an appalling reader and not at all proud of myself, but work, children, hubby, family, pets, cooking, cleaning etc., seem to demand more and more of my time. At least, I can write during my three hour commute each day! I am trying to work my way through the slashy_oscars voting list, there is so much good stuff there!
Thank you so much for letting me know you enjoyed SWO, it's just like you say in your headers, feedback does make the day a lot better!
Very best of luck with your nomination *big hugs* - we both have some stiff competition in that category!
Yeay, I've been recommended; that's a nice ego-boost!
A three hour commute! that sounds pretty draining... Good thing you're a creative person who can use the time for something worthwhile (Yes, male love stories are indeed worthwhile and also how I prefer to spend my spare time.)I can never quite imagine how people with families, children and jobs find any time at all to write - I feel my job alone keeps me pressed for time. Some people are just very efficient it seems (I wish I could claim that).
I haven't read the other entries in our category - I attempted one, found it was over 90 chapters and gave up! Very bad of me indeed. I actually do read quite a bit myself - at the cost of writing so I'm always hopelessly bad at posting regularly. I get caught up in a story and I just keep going till I reach the end (like it happened with SWO). I'm determined not to read another story now until I have updated my own; it is long overdue.
Oh, and I got your reply to my comment - Thank you.

Do you realise that your ex bf's/perfect man is my mental image of a certain fic character of yours? :P
