Winter Revel and whatnot

Oh winter revel weekend... the highs: hanging out with friends, dumplings at feast, electric blanket for bed, seeing the Tiptons, laughing. The lows: having to get my car towed out of snow twice, Chris making B unhappy, freezing cold weather, driving home in a snow storm, no cookies for anyone, being really tired today.

What's a winter revel weekend and why did you go? Just curious.

It is an SCA event. SCA, in case you don't know, stands for Society for Creative Anachronism. Basically we all dress up in medieval clothes and the like and there are all kinds of things to do. I am a fan of the camping and merrymaking. http://www.sca.org if you want to check it out. There are sections all over the world. I think you would like it (so long as your group is cool).
