I was just sitting here at uni when I realised that I've just pulled a 15 hour day. Yep, that's right folks, I left home 15 hours ago - that's 14 1/2 hours at uni. And the last day I had off was 11 days ago. Honours. Hah, Bek just walked in and said that it makes her depressed. So amusing.

What did you do for all that time?

Work. Lab stuff. I put a reaction on, worked up a reaction, did a couple of NMR's, tried to come up with a better mobile phase for one of my compounds. And I also wrote a 20 min presentation (which I had to do on Friday) on a genius called Woodward, so that involved lots of wading through extensive journal articles on chemistry I don't understand and trying to understand it. And also hours spent on a ChemDraw drawing up structures of the precurses to Chlorophyll and Reserpine. Hmmm, interesting!

My little sis is going on exchange to the US next year. So very very jealous!

Gosh. That sounds intense. You enjoy it though right?

Yeah...as stressful and as busy as it is I actually enjoy doing research in chem. If I could take away the pressure and my supervisor and the fact that I'd have no life, then I'd probably do a PhD.

I am very jealous of you too! When and where and for how long?
