snowed-in LOSTathon!

When I let myself be blind to logic and continuity, I really enjoy LOST. But when the show is over, the little things drive me crazy.

Alan Sepinwall's blog is my go-to place for TV discussion. I like his insights, and the commenters are usually pretty sane.

Reagan and I just watched the Jughead episode (and Little Prince, but I have less to say about that right now), where Locke gave Richard Alpert the compass we saw in the premier (or ep 2?). The closed loop of the compass coming out of nowhere drives me nuts. I love the poetry but the loop makes me go AARRGGGGHHH!!! At least not in the running-head-first-into-walls way I went AARRRGGHH with some of BSG last year.

But the thing that drives me crazier is the Daniel Faraday/Desmond bit. I can't stand that Desmond's off-island storyline is taking place in 2007. It'd be so so so much neater (to me), if he woke up with that memory in 2004, ie: X hours have passed for Daniel from the time he last saw Desmond (pre time travel) when he got Desmond to come out of the Hatch, and X hours have passed for Desmond since he last saw Daniel (with no time-travel interference)

I suppose that'd still be messy since Desmond would be on the boat with the Oceanic 6 at the time, but... poetry!!

The 3 year gap seems pretty arbitrary anyways. :P

Ok, next ep.
