Settling into Cheongju

I am settling into my life here in Cheongju. I have a Korean bank account and an alien resident ID card, as well as a home! I moved into my apartment last week. It is very small, but much nicer than some of the teachers' apartments I have seen. It is wonderful to actually have a home! So nice to hear more about your life. Of course, you know what I am going to ask for... pictures! Of your home... your students... classroom...

Re: nescafe, I used to hate the stuff, but I admit that now I am hooked... try the nescafe gold... it's a little more expensive, and still doesn't taste like coffee, but it's not half bad and will wake you up.

The prices have to do with if it is imported or not... at least in Pakistan, if something is imported, it'll usually be a few dollars more expensive than it would be in the USA. So, probably locals don't use lotion, so it's imported, and thus, expensive.

I have been looking for the gold! Haven't found it yet, but I will keep my eyes open. I will have pics of my home and students up soon... My lack of a home computer is a huge drag for blogging as the internet cafes here are full of chain smoking teenagers. I have decided to excercise patience though and save up for the apple pro I really want. Did you all check out this contest? I am totally entering both pictures and writing-

...when professors visit the US to teach, they usually have a lighter load also. Don't know what we pay 'em, though, in comparison.
