Just got back from the Sculpture Garden with Brad. He thought it necessary to get a photo of the bridge between the Garden and Loring Park at night, and so we went to get the shot. He got one shot from each end of the bridge, and decided he wanted me in a shot, so he told me to go to the other end (the Loring Park end) of the bridge so he could ( Read more... )

I hear ya. This world is full of crap. The biggest enemy we have as a human race is our own apathy. I sat there wondering if I could get away with punching a kid in the face today. I was at a park and this guy came around and was picking up the garbage and putting new bags in. This on punk ass junior high kid threw his football into the trash and immediately said "Get it." The employee ignored the bratty kid and so the ignorant insults started flying. The most offensive was "fag" and the wierdest one was "crackhead." I can't remember the last time someone called someone else a crackhead. I think back in 4th grade this kid called this other kid's mom a crackhead. I then thought about how realistic would it be for me to punch him and straight up lie out of it. Fortunate for the kid he got bitched at hardcore by the YMCA worker he was with there. In conclusion... apathy.

Marit! I love everything that you have to say, because it is (almost) always relevant to improving our society. I just wanted to let you know that I agree with your remarks about feminism. Nobody should have to live with that kind of fear. You should also know that if anybody ever tried to harm you in anyway, I would totally kick their ass in to next year. ;) I love you, Marit!

I agree completely. This is a wonderful arguement in favor of feminism, and if people had any sense at all (and sadly, many do not) they'd listen to it.

I'm sorry you had such a scary experience, Marit. I've been in a few such situations myself, and they suck--as in, they're absolutely, mindnumbingly terrifying. I'm glad you're OK :)
