This Thursday, 18th August, there will be a school board meeting at Eisenhower (hwy 7), at which numerous parents and students involved with the HHS theatre department will be addressing the school board about the use of the new theatre.
This includes alums and current students alike/your parents.The gist is this: the district owns the theatre,

The junior high choir wanted to use the theatre but they were told they couldn't unless they promised a certain amount of seats would be filled. So they would rather have it unfilled and dark than half filled for hopkins use.

They requested a thousand dollars down to do it too. The horrible thing about that is that it is right in the referendum that the theater is for use by the junior high for concerts as well. They are going against the promises of the referendum in so many ways.

I had to work that night...i was upset that i could not be in attendence though I do understand that it went well. Anna K had to work too(with me at camp xmas tree) and she says hi.
