A... golden blimp... personal jet... what... who... how...

[Sora just stands there for a long moment before her brain gets back in gear, and she shakes her head just as Seymour arrives and starts to introduce himself. She seems to be having a hard time getting over the opulence.]

I'd say intimidated before honored, really. It's like you exist by the will of money, or something... ['Not that such a thing exists... right?']

The will of money is the reason anything exists girl. How do you think things are built and survive? Because of money. I am just one who understands the simple fact that money is power in this world.

Money is power. Even I understand that. [Seymour's tone shakes Sora out of her money-induced stupor.]

But there's more to life than power. That's a lesson it's taken me time to learn. Reputation. Alliances. Knowledge. Love. Money can help all of these along, but it cannot do all the work. Somewhere along the line, money cannot save you. It falls to the person holding it to take things from there.

...you sure sound like you've got the attitude down for some of that, though.

True. Money is powerful but in the hands of fools it is but armor made of paper. Trust me when I say I am no fool. I know how to use all my assets to make me benefit.

...Alright, I'll bite, why are you here? No offense, but you're, like, the kind of person we'd probably fight.

I have witnessed several of the Chalice's fights. I'm impressed with the strength of you all. Also, I prefer to deal with people I can trust. I've aided evil organizations before and most of the time they cheated me, broke my equipment, and fell to heroes. Sometimes not in that order. People like you frequently need funds for repairs and upgrades. I can give you this...for a price of course. But we'll get to that when we start really doing business.

[You said the magic words apparently, because there's now a glint in Kamille's eye that won't go away.] If that's the case then let me lead you to the person in charge so that we can get right down to brass tacks. [Upgrades! No more going to Anaheim, the bastards!]

Ah, good. It seems you understand how to treat a potential investor. Show me to this person and dependent on how negotiations go, you'll have your upgrades soon. My mechanics are the best around so you won't have to worry about your machine.

Katsuragi Corps...?

[Rather than be intimidated or awed by the display of wealth, Muginami greets Seymour with a confused look. She's nice enough to smile though.]

Doesn't ring a bell~

I'm Muginami.

Really? I'm surprised that it doesn't. After all, Katsuragi Corps. is one of the wealthiest and most powerful organizations in the world.

I see. That's why I've never heard about it.

I'm not from here, you see.

Hmm. I see. From that, I'm guessing you aren't from one of the colonies as I do have some influence in several of them. Maybe further out in space or another time?

[Oh joy. someone who thinks this is a game, and has the funds to do so.]
"What?"
[M1 seems horrifically confused.]
"You seem to be enjoying your vacation."

(Seymour laughs a little at M1.)

You honestly think this is a vacation for me? This is just a normal lunch for me.

"Well it is more than I had in a year. So yeah, one mans normal is another extravagant."

screws_rules June 29 2012, 19:19:44 UTC
Indeed. And I like to make my normal as extravagant as possible. I have the funds to do so, so why not?

Sure you did. Tell me, is taking damage how you get things "under control"?

(Seymour snaps his fingers and the Diamond-Eyes fires another beam which rips through the enemy forces.)

Hmm. I was wondering why that blast caused a bigger explosion than usual. But no matter, it seems the enemy has been demoralized and will be even easier to crush.
