Someone added me to their Flist and I don't want to be on it. I've asked them to remove me but they refuse. Anyone know how I can get myself off of their list?
Data point: it doesn't take you off their list. It means you don't see their name in your "friends of" list, and that they can't comment to you. But your public posts will still show up on their friends page. There is no way to stop someone from reading your public posts, or having you on their list for easy reading of public posts. (I found this out the hard way, when I realized that even though I'd banned a stalker, they were still reading me.)
Thanks for the info. I found a place I can get it in bulk (bring your own bucket) for 3.99 a pound. I'm going to stick with it. It's nice to get out of the village for a change so I don't mind going over to Roncy to get it.
why don't you want to be on your list? Does it mean you have to do something you wouldn't normally have to do, or does it give them access to something you don't want them to have access to? This is a real question, since I don't understand all the ins and outs of LJ so well.
I hope I didn't commit a faux pas by randomly adding people who seemed neat.
It's generally just creepy. They can read anything you post that's not locked in a 'friends' only posting, so unless YOU add them back as a friend, then they wouldn't read anything that's locked up.
My suggestion to Testy is to flock everything, and don't give them anything to read.
I think I heard about a thing that you can 'remove' someone from your friends of list, via the admin console, but I'll have to check. :/
I just find it a bit creepy. The entire journal is about straight, strap-on sex. I asked nicely to be removed but their attitude sucks. So I'd just rather not be on thier list.

you can hide your people who have friended you list from your userinfo
but to the best of my knowledge you can't get rid of individuals.
