Well sweetie, I feel your pain. On money and on being a shopaholic. We're broke college students. We're not supposed to have money. We're supposed to be up to our ears in student loans. But we're supposed to have a kick ass time at college while we rack up the debt! So, chin up! This year is going to be worth the hell...even the hell of not getting your shoes. Cause dude...you're living in the room next to me! Only a few more weeks!!!!

And "Confessions of a Shopaholic" is an amazing book. I have it if you want to borrow it.

Yeah, the chick who wrote it is British, and the setting of the story is Britain, so it takes a few chapters to get used to the slang and the monetary units (cause she shops and racks up a ton of debt...so it's nice to know what the equivalent dollar amount is) but otherwise well worth it. I have the sequel too. I still need to read the third and fourth ones in the series.

Ah I know exactly what you're talking about! I haven't been able to go shopping all summer practically-->no summer job + freakin expensive tuition and other crap = absolutely no money. I hate how money can dictate everything-especially happiness. If I can quote Paul in 1 Timothy, "For the love of money is a root of all evils". I seriously believe that.

Random note: isn't it weird that we have the sayings "The best things in life are free" and "there's no such thing as a free lunch"? I guess you use whichever applies...

Hang in there! Show that money who's boss! :)
