Election reflection

So, here is my several days late reflection/analysis on the 2008 election. I'll start from the high offices and work my way down.

Yay for Israel! My family's going in January without me which is sad because I haven't been there for so long. I much prefer speaking Hebrew in Israel!

I absolutely agree about Franken. He had waaaay too much baggage. I personally liked Ciresi, who was a policy buff, if not quite as photogenic; and in a senator, which is really more important? Also, the gay marriage thing? It's irksome, but the anti-gay movement's operating on borrowed time. Young people don't see it as a big deal, and I frankly think they're merely delaying the inevitable.

Again, congrats on Israel, you'll have to tell me how it goes. ^-^

I still want to know what you think about his Chief of Staff choice! =P

Anyways, sounds like your semester is going just about as well as everyone elses; congrats on Jerusalem though, that's pretty cool; probably somewhere I'm never going to end up in, but that's due to security and, well, not having any money. Still, very awesome for you.

Also, I totally feel you with the misrepresented class. Turns out my East Asia to 1600 class doesn't cover much at all outside of China and Japan, despite the course description mentioning Korea and Vietnam. We mostly are just learning a bunch of dynasties and shit. It's fuckin weak. I just wrote my final paper for it to get it out of the way this weekend.
