December 30 was an eventful night, to say the least. From start to finish, exhausting but totally worth it. The day was insignificant. It all begins when the sun goes byebye, heniway.

I met Boo up in her house at about 7ish because Cebu Pacific was a bitch. There, I saw Otto, the hottest dog evah and after our introductions were made, we were off to jam-packed streets filled with cars that were all clearly headed to ONE destination.

From afar, we could see the lame pwet firefarts that were prolly astounding the crowd that didn't know any better [Heart :( Smiley face?]. Clearly we missed the first show, aahh whatever. It looked crappy anyway. Haha :)

9:09 and oooh big surprise?! We were still on the road, moving millimeters at a time. Small talk here and there as Rudy missed a turn [Yeah, I know his name's Ruben. Right?]and went ring-around-the-rosey :) The next show was supposedly at 9:30 but yeah, it was clear we weren't gonna get there any time soon.

Wow, roads don't exist once people see purty lights huh? A van drove through an island, a valiant effort of a lazy ass trying to be creative in avoiding the traffic. Motorcycles, pfsh. GOOD LORD, Sidewalks were inexistent. People were strolling down the street as though there weren't a bajillion zillion cars honking at em. Oooh, I love it.

Anyway, after much contemplation and talk about it... we got out of the car and started walking. Busy roads like that scare me. Ask Boo. We reached a relatively okei spot, after much help from 'The Hand', where we could see MOST of the fireworks and decided to stay put. Mall of Asia was *puts thumb right in front of her eye* two thumbs big from where we were and well, let's just say, the fireworks were very disappointing. Some were awesome, gracing all the spectators with their awesomeness while others… were LAME.

Heniway, we came there thinking there would be a last hurrah: 10 countries giving one last whack at it. But nooooooooo, it really was just Philippines and Qatar competing that night [a country in the Far East or rather, Southwest Asia. Shut up, I know I’m wrong. Haha.] Sooo, after standing on the sidewalk stupidly for a few minutes waiting for the never-gonna-happen-10-countries-would-be-the-coolest-evah-show, we finally got a move on and decided, HEY, LET’S GET A MILKSHAKE IN MCDO BACLARAN.

HAHAHAHAHA.

So, mainly we walked 2km until we reached Baclaran. I have no sense of direction considering I thought every body of water we passed was Pasig River. How should I know?!

We reached McDo soon enough. The crowd was blegh and apparently, everyone was buying in bulk. Oooh Fun.

“HOLY CRAP”
“What?!”
“SOMEONE TOOK MY BAG!”
“Tets, you’re wearing it! It’s right there!”

It was wonderful that McDo was packed that day. I wouldn’t have gotten as big a reaction if it wasn’t =/ WONDERFUL.

To wrap it up, we stayed near McDo until 1-2ish because, yeahp, the cars were stuck for quite a while.

An empty parking lot. A “chickboy.” A scary car and childish imagination. Boy Bawang. Mr. O. Shmexy Beast 2. Boo - luurves it.
