Man, they are both lovely. I can tell that the first one is really detailed, and I love Violet's invention in the second one!

Thanks! :")
I have no idea what the invention is... i did it pretty quickly... I really like everything she invented in the movies. They were so full of tons of tiny parts. The mail delivery thing was especially cute!!

I love them both! I really like the detail in Lyra's clothing, and I like the shape of Violet's features and the stylistic flatness of the image.

Thank you! :)
"Stylistic flatness" may actually just be "artist got lazy and didn't want to colur anymore"... but thank you, hehe!!

GUESSSSS WHAT> I fucking love you! You just illustrated two of my favorite characters from amazing books. I was just thinking about His Dark Materials yesterday, I think I may re-read them. They were soooo good. And Lemony Snicket is a constant fixation in my life, so you rock.

I like hwo you drew Pan, don't worry about it, because when I saw it, I was like "Pan!", I didn't second-guess it at all. I'm in love with how you draw eyes, they're gorgeous. OH I LOVE YOU!!! GORGEOUS WORK!!

Hehe, thanks! :D
Omigosh, i love His Dark Materials!! They're my very favorite books. I don't draw anything from them too often just because i'm hardly ever pleased with what i draw... That world seems to rich and complicated, and my drawings are very flat! I just finished reading the books again yesterday though, which is why i was drawing things from the story.

SQUEEE! LYRA! Oh my god, she's adorable! And so very Lyra'ish, like, with all the furs and her little arctic hoodie and skirt. Awwwww. I love how Pan's all curled around her neck like a scarf, it's just so cute. The bulky boots are perfect too; exactly as I imagined them!

And the tool/invention chick, yay! She looks all Victorian era and her creation is certainly like something from that period and this only makes me love her more. I love how you have the apron with hooks for the tools. Ingenious.

s usual, i get way more excited about my own art than fanart, which i think is a good thing anyways!

It most definitely is! You should post your original stuff too. *hee*

Awww, shucks! Thanks! :")

Hey!! Where's some HDM fanart from you, missy?! Don't make me take the 98-B line down to the land of Chinese candy and IKEA (that's all Richmond is to me) to poke you till you draw some! ;D

*hee!!!* I miss the B line! Did I just admit that?

Actually, I will be drawing some HDM art soon! In January, for sure, it's for a project i'm working on, which will all be revealed.

Oh and? If my Lyra ends up looking suspiciously like yours, it's because it's an homage. You are my muse! Imitation is flattery! *runs away*

Omigosh!! I am SO excited to see your HDM art!! And i'm super-intrigued by this project... I haven't seen much HDM fanart, and not much of what I have seen has really made an impact on me (not to sound snotty or anything! :/) and i'm quite sure whatever you do will be fabulous!! I'm really honoured that you'd say that about how i drew Lyra too! (honoured makes it sound quite formal... like you've just knighted me! ... Well, i think it's just as exciting and nice anyways!!) And really, it's not like your art doesn't influence me, so it's definitly a mutual sharing here! ;)
