I can't sew for shit. I purchased a small kit yesterday with the aim of teaching myself, but now I've seen that you can order moth caterpillars online and raise them, so I suspect the sewing hobby will be usurped somewhat...

I had a feeling you might be feeling a bit like that about Em's outfit. It's a shame too as I'm sure yours would be awesome, just in a different way to Ingela's (sp?). At least you can sew! I have a very small stash of patterns but have never had the guts to do anything with them. Maybe once I am back in my own territory then I will be ok but I'm close to loosing my knitting mojo, never mind trying to find a sewing one here! Dammit, so many ideas, so little time to get those needles clicking!

oooh and they do ;-) was part or the reason i got the pattern - belts bags and cinches. Can't go wrong! might have a go at E tonight since i don't need d-rings for that one.

I find hole punching rather theraputic.

yeah.. compared to the dress she's making, mine looks like a bloody joke. So, meh.. i dunno. really can't find it in me to finish it off.

and i need to find out a "how to crochet" site so i can start making things. Join in the way of the yarn when we're abandoned on the merch stand

Made one of the bags last night - very rough and ready and looking shite. But was a first try. Going to try again tonight and refine it. I think the pattern was for thick fabrics and not leather - so it turned through a bit funny. So I'm going to have external seams and possibly trim them. who knows.
