    Honestly, there is not a lot I can do today because of technology that I could not do 5 years ago. I looked at a lot of the other answers to try and get some ideas, and most of those things were available 5 years ago. MP3's have been around a while now, closer to ten years, not five. Still protectionist as always, eh? It makes some sense though. I look around at all the nifty gadgets I use and most re assembled overseas. I think the only made-in-usa thing I own is a calligraphy pen.

LOL, not some much protectionist, as a realisation that without jobs in this country, the world's largest consumer nation has no money to spend, and the entire world suffers for it. I'm not saying I have a problem with jobs being overseas, I have a problem with all jobs being overseas, even our servie indusrty, which an entire economy can not be based off of, is being shipped overseas. Technology certainly brings the world closer, but there does need to be some concern about the nation you are from as well. I'd rather not see the US become a 3rd world nation, at least not while I still live here.
