Every semester I attend college, a new problem arises. Not to be outdone by the last term, this semester has thrown THREE issues at me...

1. Oh where, oh where has my little loan gone? When I registered for this semester, my loan officer guaranteed my loan would be here, reinstated since I gave them due notice of returning to college (took the ( Read more... )

I know you, Tom. You can do this. You are much stronger than you think you are. This is just a trial. Trials are overcome by strength and determination. And you have strength and determination. I do miss you, Tom. I'm sorry I've been busy lately. But I will make time for you. I hope all starts getting better..... I love you..

*snuggles you senseless*

I'm always here, sweetheart.

"Man is a rope, tied between beast and overman--a rope over an abyss.
A dangerous across, a dangerous on-the-way, a dangerous looking-back, a dangerous shuddering and stopping. What is great in man is that he is a bridge and not an end: what can be loved in man is that he is an overture and a going under. I love those who do not know how to live, expect by going under, for they are those who cross over...I love him who loves his virtue, for virtue is the will to go under and an arrow of longing... I love him who makes virtue his addiction and his catastrophe: for his virtue's sake he wants to live on and live no longer. " -Nietzsche

Admiration comes easy when speaking of you Tom and I hope that your days get brightger, but I think that now is perhaps an appropriate time to measure the costs over the benifits. Are you getting what you need and are paying for at TSTC?

Your Friend,
Greg

BTW: That passage was beautiful Kate. Is it from "Thus Spake Zarathustra"?

Yes, the segment wherein after ten years of isolation Zarathustra emerges from the mountains to greet and instruct humanity with musings of his soul and profound thought.

It bothers me Nietzsche was painted as an egotist. He wrote of the perfect man; he did not claim to be one.

Also, I don't mean to lecture. I see you as a capable person. Tom knows his way well. All he requires is a bit of support, rarely advice. :)
