It's amazing what can happen in a matter of a day. When my family arrived in Waco, the hurricane was predicted to land in Bay City and travel northwest...all the way up to Waco, so they said. Fortunately, the hurricane changed direction slightly and missed both cities, yielding nothing more than an overcast day with strong wind gusts
