Today we:
-Rode camels and a horse (I had the horse) around the Giza pyramids. Saw the Sphinx and a dead donkey. Overpaid and overtipped.
-Went to Sakkara - older than the Giza pyramids. Forced tot ip a guy who tricked us into letting him show us around. No idea what he said, in Arabic or in English ( Read more... )

I realize this is a dumb and obvious thing to say, but I feel so out of place here. We are the only white faces here. I wish I had a veil. I feel naked with my hair showing. Here is my planned Egypt itinerary. Hopefully I have enough money to cover all the traveling around. The ferry alone is pretty expensive. I'm estimating just the traveling around will be about $200. Ouch. We might not even go in to Jordan, and instead just stay in Egypt ( Read more... )

April 21 - 27: Edinburgh the 21st - 23rd, fly to Dublin night of the 23rd. Galway on the 24th, Killarney on the 25th, pass through Cork on the 26th, then Dublin night of the 26th. Fly out of Dublin late afternoon of the 27th, back to Munich.

May 10 - 19: Egypt the 10th - 16th, then Amman the 17th and 18th, then back to Cairo to fly out on the 19th ( Read more... )

Yesterday Jesse and I went skiing in Lermoos, Austria, for a much-needed change of scenery and change of slope. When she purchased her season pass, she added the Happy Card for 100 euro, which includes the Austria slopes of Seefeld, Biberwier, Lermoos and Ehrwald. This weekend: Head with my friend Alaska to Regensburg on Saturday morning and her friend (from Alaska) who will be starting school there next week.
