Here I am, back to take another stab at this blogging thing. I read blogs all the time. Boing Boing, Defective Yeti, Mimi Smartypants, and the LiveJournals of various friends to name just a few. I just can't seem to make myself open up notepad and conjure up something to post on my own blog. This comes from 2 parts thinking I don't have

Dude, blogger ain't got nothin' on livejournal! Why the hell would you want to go with blogger?

Seriously though, blogger is much easier to integrate into a website, but if you're looking to just keep up with people and interact in any way, livejournal is MUCH better. The friends lists make it so easy.

I like the idea of hosting my journal on my webpage. I feel like it's there regardless of what happens to company doing the publishing. I guess they're differnt services and I should use each for what it does best.

i do both, although i tend to dislike blogger. LJ is better for very personal stuff, and keeping up with friends, and movable type rocks for more professional, real-world web-publishing.
