Fess up! by the_girl_20 is a short Ash/Scribbs piece that had me laughing out loud. Spot-on characterization and brilliant little plot.

On the other side of the coin, Jungle Fever by Nordica (a.k.a. Nique Bartok) is a wonderfully long Maca/Esther (Hospital Central) story that I'm re-reading. The first time through I had seen like one clip of the show, but

Long fics, good fics

Although I've only seen a couple of eps of MiS, I'm loving the fanfic - yours in particular. It allows me to get to know the characters without having to wade through all the het supertext (if that makes sense).

Re: Jungle Fever - it's a great story (and I've never seen any of the series). It was, however, written by Anik LaChev, not Nique Bartok (another fine author) - unless they're one and the same, and they could be. If you like long fics, you should dash off to LaChev's site and read her AU Voyager (Seven/Janeway) fic Campus. It's a tremendous work, as yet unfinished (although she recently promised an update soon). I think you'll like it. The site I'm reading Jungle Fever at lists the author as Nordica a.k.a. Nique Bartok so I guess she goes by all kinds of names. I've seen Campus recommended all over the place, but so far I've avoided it because it's unfinished, but one of these days when I'm really craving a long story I'm sure I'll cave. Thanks for the reminder.
