Haven't done one of these in a while!

Digest version, for those in tl;dr mode: I wrote another book, our adoption process marches on, I have yet to get an offer for a W2-earning job and I'm dying for a proper vacation.

Red Cross does tons of single-day CPR certifications all over the place. Be warned: it's a very practise-intensive day, which is great of course, but by the end of the day Ben and I were both pretty wiped, so make sure you husband energy appropriately.

Captain Confidence: Bisexual Warrior sounds like a comic book. He swoops in and corrects bigotry and hate with the zeal of the gods, and then flies away into the sunset, cape billowing in the wind.
