MILWAUKEE - A sword-yielding intruder entered the wrong apartment Sunday and attacked a stranger, police said.
The 24-year-old suspect allegedly went to the apartment to confront an ex-friend who lives in the same building, but instead entered the victim's apartment with a Samurai-style sword with a 20-inch blade, Capt. Michael Young said.
The victim suffered a dismembered pinky finger and other lacerations to his head and hands in the incident, which happened about 3:45 a.m. Sunday, Young said.
"We're not quite sure why he was so mad," Young said.
The suspect was highly intoxicated.
He smashed his vehicle into nearby parked cars on his way to the apartment. An officer responding to damage ended up capturing the suspect as he fled, Young said.
