TFA Perceptor
-Perceptor is in root mode today, having set up a multitude of instruments around the Nerdlab, and even up on the roof of the Nerdlab, which is where he is currently, adjusting the settings on one of the data-gathering tools. The storm has him... well, not quite excited, but close to it, and when the prompts ping on his datapad, he's all but scurrying to grab said datapad.-
"Bad dreams? I am not familiar with that phenomenon, though I have heard others tell of having such an experience. It does not sound pleasant..." -A slight headtilt as thunder sounds in the not-so-far distance and Perceptor reads the next prompt.-
"Ah... Comfort... There are many ways to define that word, depending on whom you speak to. There are also many different levels of comfort within the specific definitions of the word. For example, one being may take comfort in being in close proximity to those whose sparks feel familiar, such as in a gestalt or sparkbonded pair.
Some may take comfort simply by being around those who share their alliance, which would likely fall under comfort of familiarity, and while that is a valid means of comfort, I believe it should not be the only way a being should seek comfort... I myself find comfort in familiar routines, and with discussing observations and theories with like-minded beings, such as the two counterparts to myself that I have become acquainted with in recent weeks. To have found like-minded beings who not only understand, but are as enthusiastic about the need to observe and learn about our current surroundings... I find that to be a comforting situation..."
-A nearby flash of lightening, and an even louder crack of thunder, has Perceptor scrambling to finish his array before the storm gets too close.-
"As for chances... I imagine most would say I am taking a very risky one in my efforts to understand the local weather patterns and-"
-Whatever he was going to say next gets cut off as the array he is currently working with takes a direct hit from a bolt of lightening. This also means that he's taken a near direct hit from the lightening as well. As a result, he's now hanging from one of the wires he was working with, off the side of the lab.-
