Am I Shy?

People sometimes seem surprised when I describe myself as shy.

After all, I perform music live, I've been a student teacher at the university, I'm normally not too afraid of looking somewhat silly in front of others, I seem to have a fair few contacts in the furry community (both online and IRL), and I normally don't have any problems casually

Sure. We're both shy. I teach professors sometimes, but that doesn't make me confident, and I think, to some extent, the lack of confidence can be called "shyness."
