DSL!

so my parents finally got dsl which makes me happy... yet i cant use it cause its on my dad's computer so i need to get a wireless thingy... they got the bell south fast access dsl thing and i dont know exactly what to do to get it on mine or what hardware to get... carl i look to you for your all mighty wisdom on this subject!

haha, I'd help ya if I could cause we have bellsouth dsl networking, but I think Allan could tell tell you how to get it on yours and what hardware to get...

How's the modem connect to his computer? By USB or ethernet cable? If it's by ethernet cable, you can get a wireless router to plug in between the modem and computer. Then you can get some sort of wireless adapter for you computer (either a PCI card or USB device) to recieve the signal. I suggest avoiding 802.11b and getting either 802.11g or one of the newer ones because their signal can broadcast further (though it never works perfectly).
