Fic where some Transformers got trapped in their ship under the earth
Okay, so I've never done this before so I hope I'm doing it right.
I'm looking for a pretty old fic, I'm guessing it's on ff.net because I wasn't on AO3 then. The premise was that there was a science ship (I believe) that came to earth way back when and ended up crashed and buried. They put everything in stasis and eventually they were found. What details I remember are pretty scattered, so apologies.
They crashed before the war, because there was a line where one of the crashed 'bots noticed how much thicker Bumblebee's armor was compared to his.
The scientists had a group of some ancient human ancestors (I want to say australopithecus?) that managed to survive the stasis as well there was a scene where one of the humans (Maybe Will Lennox???) had his hand up to the glass along one of theirs.
I want to say it was movie 'verse, very possibly Transformers Prime, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't G1.
